Just like an other employer, make sure you get to know who will be your boss and try to engage the level of flex time that person will have. Maternity leave process is complicated but worth it!

  • Took Maternity Leave Here? (Weeks)

    27.5 paid / 6 unpaid

Paternal leave is now 2 paid weeks that can be used at the end, during the leave (when you drop to 60%) or during the first 6 months of the baby's life. It used to only be one week, so this is a nice update to the leave policy! The maternity leave was very complicated. Between the short term leave vendor, leaves department, State, and our HR dept/payroll, different information was provided. It was very complex and frustrating. Thankfully, I had internal contacts that helped me navigate and it all worked out.

  • Recommend to Women?

Maybe. I love ADP and the values, mission, and beliefs. Our CEO is an amazing person. I do believe my boss is the reason I love ADP. her management, leadership, mindset, personality, energy and being a mother herself allows her to be compassionate, understanding and flexible.

I have flexibility and autonomy -- and a great boss! He trusts me to achieve my business goals and is supportive and available when I need him, but he does not micro-manage or second guess me.

Communication is dismal at times, the left hand often does not seem to be aware of what the right hand is doing.

  • Recommend to Women?

Maybe. I love the culture at ADP, they are very inclusive. The only cause for me not recommending it as a workplace to others is the infuriating inconsistencies in procedures between the different departments!

I have been at ADP ten years and it has been great overall. The maternity and parental leave policies definitely could be more generous like some other large companies, but the work culture and atmosphere are very family friendly. There is great flexibility and an awareness that people have a life outside of work with other responsibilities and interests (not always family-related).

Flexibility is key as a parent of young children - ADP has supported my work/life balance every step of the way while I worked hard to build both my career and my family.

I think there is so much diversity and women in leadership that the culture has innovated career trajectories beautifully vs the past. If you worked for ADP long ago, it's a very different culture now....So amazing.
