"The company has an excellent internal program to tackle gender inequality from both the bottom up and the top down, so it is saying the right things. It has excellent maternity and paternity leave policies. Pay, bonuses, and benefits tend to be good. The work is interesting and definitely abundant, which can sometimes lead to long hours but exposes people to a lot of good experience. Some women are groomed for advancement or hired into significant middle leadership positions, but once at a certain level, there is a discouraging pattern of their being headhunted away to or seeking, and getting, good jobs at other companies. I think the company would benefit from looking into the reasons for this and trying to rectify it, to improve the gender balance at higher levels through internal promotions. Also, the company has the tendency to shutter sites and move work to other ones, which has the effect of shedding workers who are less able to relocate, typically older workers; thus a subtle inclination toward younger workers, whether or not this is intentional. I would recommend it as a good place to work and get interesting experience, but perhaps not count on being at the company long-term."
