"I only started working w/ Cengage at the start of COVID so I only can speak to how it is as a WFH (for now) employee. Flexibility is amazing here, but the pay is below average for similar roles and the technology stack is old, though they are trying to move to more modern stacks. "

"Overall, I enjoy working here for the autonomy I have in my role, and the impact I am able to have. I am lucky enough to report into a powerhouse woman. I stay for the people (similar level colleagues are fantastic) and the flexibility (no clock punchers here). The company and higher ups however are a mess, I've watched numerous rounds of layoffs and closures, and endured patently stupid decision after patently stupid decision as they try to figure out what customers want and how to deliver it while cutting costs dramatically. This job is equal parts fun, joy, challenge, and frustration."

"Think there is a glass ceiling here - a thick one. There are a lot of inexperienced m, highly paid male VPs contrasted with a lot of experienced and highly capable women in lower level roles. "
