"There are great policies being rolled out, but the ability to fully utilize them is often based on your client workload and the local partner group's view of the policies."

"If you are Indian or Asian you will do well here most likely. The more technical IT roles are really reserved for this group, and mostly men unfortunately. Although the CEO supports gender diversity, and you get emails about inclusion and what not, it really comes down to the people you are working with on a day to day basis and the people in the practice you support, doesn’t it. Deloitte has a long way to go to get women in leadership in their Advisory Cyber Risk Services practice who come from a technical background. I’ve found they have a few women in leadership roles but these women don’t understand technology and because there are so few of them, they discount women below them who aren’t like them (such as a technical woman). It’s sad that the culture hasn’t changed much in the 5 years I’ve been with them. I think there is a leadership problem with the men throughout Cyber Risk. "

"It depends largely on whether or not you are staffed on a project and how demanding that client is/how many hours you are willing to work. People are successful here if they work like dogs on not only client work but something called Practice Development (PRD) which is completed outside client work hours (includes proposal work, internal initiatives, etc.). Someone once said to me after 5pm (when the client had left the office) that now the real work begins. You can work all the time here and you shouldn’t expect to go very high on the ladder here unless you want to work like a slave all the time. It’s really bad work life balance here (coming from the Advisory > Cyber Risk practice)."
