"There are opportunities for learning here, but it is very much a male country club atmosphere. Men and women are not perceived equally and it is evident within the staff and the roles for which men and women occupy. There was little to no female managers and no mentorship from senior leaders for students. Everyone seems pretty set on maintaining their status rather than helping others and growing together. "

"Some of the divisions are undergoing positive transformation, but women in the field locations are frequently treated as subordinate to men."

"The diversuty of female hiring and senior level female leaders are greater than most of the companies in industry. We also have our own WAVE group(Women add value in Eaton) for supporting women's growth here as well."

"It's probably ok of you are right out of school, or at a high level. The middle management roles are a grind for all."
"It is a great place to grow your career as a female. Eaton has a great work life balance, which is wonderful for the female that wants to have both family and career. "
"Join Eaton! I have been with Eaton for over 9 years and have had such a rewarding experience. I even changed career paths and had the support from my manager and peers when making a lateral change. I feel supported by my peers, my manager and leadership. Definitely recommend Eaton for building a career"

"It all depends on who is your manager to help you succeed. work life balance and work flexibility is not consistent, it all depends on who is your manager. Work place is not very supportive of parents."

"I have worked for Eaton for 13 years in several functions, different locations, and all within the US. I have had some of the most amazing experiences and have grown into my best self; in large part; through the experiences that I have had with this company. There is still work to be done, but as I reflect on where we are now, I know how far we have come as a company. If you have drive, ambition, and a desire to win in a company that focuses on leaning in with each other, bringing your best self to work, and integrating how you work with how you live, then I believe you can find what you are looking for with Eaton."

"Eaton is very employee focused. They have great inclusion employee resource groups. It is a great place to work!"
"Great place. Making strides in equality and culture. Strong leaders. "
"Be very ambitious; do not let yourself get pegged for lower level job responsibilities, esp. long term. You will have to assure that you get challenging and visible work as well as that you are fairly paid for it. Do not expect the management to automatically assure you these things. "
"Great place to work for women who have families and want to maintain their career."
"Great place to work! There is always room for improvement at any company, but overall we are making progress. I would like to see the company be more transparent regarding Diversity & Inclusion metrics and goals, particularly in our quarterly and annual recap/updates. Starts from the top down! "
"Great organization to work for where women are valued, appreciated and promoted. Would highly recommend to others. "
"It's a fair and supportive culture with many benefits for working parents. "
"Very flexible and a lot of new initiatives supporting women in the workforce."
"At least in my division the leadership team talks a big game about how many women they promote to leadership roles, but when it comes to company culture it is very heavily male centered. A lot of focus in the diversity and inclusion group for women is put on male allies and how women's issues will affect them. This is something that I think really needs to change in the company. If there is going to be any shift in company culture I think that the focus needs to be on retaining female employees and making it a safe and enjoyable place to work, so that in the future the company will be more welcoming to women. "Some sites have more flexible opportunities than others. Site to site operations can be rather disconnected/disjointed even when site collaboration is encouraged."

"if you are in an individual contributor role, you may be afforded some flexibility, but management roles are truly exempt from that. Flexibility will also only last so long - the company is constantly changing it's hiring needs and "absorbs" roles into existing ones to save money on the headcounts. That in turn will change your role and expectation that you pick up that work and shelf your flexibility to work more, or it's likely they will change the story to something in your performance reviews that you are not "willing to go above and beyond" "

"I love my location and I guess it depends which location you work "

"The biggest problem at Eaton is inconsistent culture. Policies are not ingrained or well distributed, so flexibility is largely up to your individual manager and what location you work at. The company as a whole is fairly flexible and has extremely inclusive policies, which has only increased in the past few years. The company is so large that you might need to fight to use these policies if you are the first in your location."

"Work/life balance is promoted here as an option, but so far, every woman I know that has requested it, has been denied."
