"Beware who you trust here. They talk a good game, but like a lot of places, it's mostly lipservice. This is a place that put a man as the leadership liaison for the woman's ERG, if that tells you anything. If you're going to be successful here, make sure you have multiple male sponsors who will always have your back. "

"Elastic has allowed me to have career mobility by supporting my need to continue learning. I feel a sense of belonging here and know that, as female in tech, I am supported but most importantly respected by my peers. "

"This is a great place to feel heard and respected regardless of gender!"

"In general? Do it. On company-wide level you will be supported and affirmed. However, do take the time to look closely at the team you're going to be in, what your management structure looks like, and if there have been large amounts of people leaving lately. If so, ask why and think twice. Similarly, if you're looking at a role in Finance/IT, I'd avoid."

"There are many women in leadership roles, and in general, a culture of empathy prevails."

"As a woman of color and a mother, it is truly one of the best organizations that I have worked for ever. The source code is always followed and leadership is extremely mindful. Truthfully, the culture , the people, the leadership make Elastic the company that it is..you might get paid more somewhere else, but you will not experience such great work life balance anywhere else. "

"It is still very male centric (my entire management chain is men, there is only one female manager in the entire business unit, I am the only woman on my team), but things are measurably improving and I rarely feel treated differently than the men on my team. Overall there is much more acceptance and a culture of people trying to do better than at other places I've worked."

"Elastic genuinely cares about the well being of all of us. Like legit cares. I've never worked for a company that not only talks the talk, but walks the walk. From flexible work hours, to generous parental leave (for all) to a CEO that promotes and openly discusses diversity and inclusion on a regular basis. I still have to pinch myself sometimes because it doesn't feel real. :)"
"I joined Elastic in a Sales Development role based in London and have since been promoted to a commercial account executive role. I have been lucky with the Sales leadership in EMEA. I have also benefited greatly from slack channels like women-of-elastic as well as more specific communities for black women in the company.I also value the extremely flexible working hours in the company, with a program called Shut it down days implemented to provide every other Friday off for the whole company during COVID times. We also have generous COVID time off on top of this where you can take time off to care of children, manage school from home and other COVID related duties. "
"Elastic has a culture where diversity and inclusivity is celebrated. Our CEO promotes an open minded culture among all employees, one of our core values being to come as you are, accept that everyone is different and celebrate that. As a woman who has been with Elastic for years, I have seen career progression and feel that I am respected equally to my male counterparts. "
"I've been at Elastic for about 3.5 years and the company has grown a lot during my time here. I love how consistently Elastic management has wanted to be inclusive and hire more women. We have had company wide meetings about the raw numbers and initiatives to attract more women and diverse candidates. I'm on a team of only men, but I love my team and they're some of the most brilliant but also approachable people I have worked with. I think that Elastic wants brilliant engineers but not at the cost of them being unfriendly people. When I moved into Development I recently found out I was pregnant with my first child and I was a little nervous having just moved into this position (with the least amount of experience on the team) and with the looming adventures of new motherhood. Elastic has a generous maternity leave (16 weeks) and very competitive benefits (compared to my husband's). My team is very nurturing and I've been able to ask multitudes of questions and have collaborative video call sessions when I'm stuck on a pull request. I would encourage anyone interested in a position at Elastic to not write off the company on number of women in Engineering data alone. I can't imagine having as supportive a team and I count myself very lucky. "
"Elastic is a great place to work! The culture is very open and accepting, with a lot of smart and kind people you can learn from. What I value most is the flexibility, there is no micromanagement and I can work whenever I want and from wherever I want, as long as my work gets done. "
"On the measure, Elastic gets it right. There's a focus on recruitment and the groundwork is being built to ensure even stronger recruitment for women and non-binary employees. When challenges do arise, Elastic addresses them head on and with a great deal of transparency. Getting more women and non-binary employees in leadership roles needs to be a focus but I can see the results of the efforts. The flexibility is amazing even though things are not exactly normal with a global pandemic. It truly feels family first and I know that if I need to deal with life stuff (sick kid, doctors appointments, etc) that I'll be supported in that."
"Elastic is my first full time job out of college, and I could not have asked for a better experience. I feel so supported and encouraged each and every day. I'm proud to work in an environment where it's recognized that women are the minority (across tech and sales), and there are people working each and every day to change that within our culture. I would absolutely recommend Elastic to anyone. "
"Elastic is an amazing place to work. Of course, no company is ever perfect, but the great thing about Elastic is that we're always striving to do better. There is an enormous amount of flexibility offered to employees here and the culture is welcoming and inclusive. The benefits are through-the-roof amazing. "
"There is a focus on opportunity and growth within my role and where I am looking to move in my career"
"A great place to work - especially with all that life throws at us."
"For me, flexibility is the key here at Elastic. It's a grown up environment, where I can work around my family commitments. I love the way diversity and inclusion is such an important topic, actively looking to change the way everything thinks about it too. "
"This culture depends on trust and empathy. Although we've grown quickly and there may still be some pockets of teams that are correcting boy's club mentalities, the vast majority of the company cares for one another and trusts each other. The empathy towards individuals, teams, and the entire team of Elasticians is really impressive. I've never worked at a company that was so caring and thoughtful."

"Gender equality is core to the company values and includes regular pay equity analysis by external vendor"
"You would likely need to: Be confident about your boundaries (working time). Take advantage of existing benefits - they are helpful. Participate and engage in diversity groups, learning opportunities and conversations. Use your voice, make sure you are heard. Bring other women along, especially in tech roles. Be a champion of something (learning, talent brand, a resource group, etc.)"
"This is the most supportive company I've ever worked for. There is a tremendous amount of flexibility, and it's 100% acceptable to block your calendar when you need to pick up kids from day care, catch your kid's soccer game, schedule a doctor appointment in the middle of the day, etc. I've never felt guilty about doing that, whereas at other companies I've always felt judged for doing that, as if I was slacking in the middle of the day."
"Elastic is a phenomenal company to work for. Really does value all points of view and embrace of diversity. Certainly not perfect, but a culture of learning, growth, exploration, development of each employee. We continue to move the needle on gender and racial diversity."
"The only company I have worked for where I have seen policies and actions match the talk for treating employees well. A great environment for women - significant flexibility for work/ life balance and focus on equal pay."

"As a woman working at Elastic, I wouldn't want to grow my career anywhere else. The opportunity, fairness, and come as you are culture is second to none."
"I used to work for a company where I felt I was held back on career opportunities because I had young children at home. There were times where I needed to leave to pick up my kids and I felt eyes were always on me. What's great about Elastic is that I feel more empowered being a working mom surrounded by support from my leadership. I'm given flexibility to attend soccer practice or to take time out of the day to take care of myself and maybe go for a run. It's not about work/life balance, it's more that at Elastic they understand we all have other obligations and they support us to take the time to do what needs to be done. Because I have the flexibility to see my kids and take time for myself I am more motivated in my role and want to continue to grow my career here. "
"Elastic is what other companies should strive to be like. I have been impressed since my very first day!"
"Elastic is beyond words. A huge group on amazingly honest, enlightened, caring individuals (who aren't afraid to cry on Zoom). Love."

"Great environment and benefits, supportive managers and leadership! Regular surveys ensure that employees' voices are heard."
"Elastic has a culture like no other company! Leadership doesn't do things just because it's the "buzz" of what other companies are doing. Elastic makes company wide impactful decisions because it's the right thing to do, often times, years ahead of where other companies are at. Everyone is supportive, empathetic and respectful of your ideas and you as a person. Most people play many different roles outside of work (as a parent, caregiver, volunteer, etc) and not only is that supported, but it's promoted! You are able take whatever time you need each day, week, month or year to focus on what's important to you so you can be the best you can both outside and inside of work. There truly is no better place to work (coming from someone who has worked for many large and small companies). "
"We have a dedicated slack channel #womenofelastic, which has been a great place for me to vent about all sorts of things from work stress, family stress, covid stress, everything! We even have Women of Elastic T-shirts :)"
"That there is a lot of flexibility and women in leadership. Having a family is not looked at negatively, but in a very positive way."
"Elastic is truly a wonderful place to work! They've made my transition into new motherhood during very trying times absolutely seamless. It is obvious the leadership cares about each and everyone of us and that means everything."
"I am a recent hire at Elastic and it's been a great experience so far. It really feels like diversity and equality are a big priority here. Little things like making a point to ask what employees' pronouns are make a big difference. I've worked at other tech companies where I was one of only a few women working on the technology side, but Elastic feels totally different. Work/life balance is truly valued here!"

"When I joined Elastic I noticed that were already a lot of women on the company. Women are also equally represented in leadership positions, which made me feel very comfortable. Being in that kind of environment meant that I could pursue a career within the company. The company culture at Elastic is supportive and celebrates that we all have different backgrounds."
"I love working for this company. Leadership is actively engaging us on their plan to hire more diversely and we've had several open conversations about how we can improve from the ground up, how gender discrimination can appear in many forms, and how we all can take part in preventing it. One of the main reasons I joined Elastic was its commitment to helping various causes and creating an open and inclusive atmosphere. I take weekly paid volunteer time to work at a local shelter, and I frequently participate in our Elastic Cares series where we get to talk with experts on various social issues. Elastic constantly is working to make itself a socially conscious company. For my role/team the time is very flexible. It is a global company but that does not mean you are expected to be online at all hours. If you want family time, that comes first and no one will make you feel wrong for that since you're probably in meetings with 3 different timezones minimum! Elastic trusts us to do our work, make the meetings we can, and watch the recorded meetings we can't."
"What's not to love about Elastic? Amazing and diverse leadership across the whole company, mature and measured company values, innovative technology, tons of room to grow and multiple promotion paths, distributed by design, undoubtedly amazing work-life balance, and excellent compensation. It doesn't matter your level or role, at Elastic you are valued and respected. Absolutely amazing company! "
"Elastic is a wonderful place to work! Elastic has made my transition into being a working mother seamless. The culture is incredible - The leadership here truly believes in work life balance and putting family first. I can't think of a single way I could have been supported better during my pregnancy, maternity leave and return to work. I am very fortunate to be a proud Elastician! "
"Many companies pay lip service to equality and diversity, but few truly embrace that as part of their culture. Elastic is truly the exception. I've never felt more supported as a woman in all aspects. As a working mom of 2 young kids, especially during these trying Covid times, I feel I have the flexibility to tend to family needs as needed, and I can do that openly. There's also a great community of women at Elastic who support each other, and an openness from senior management and HR to discuss issues, address any concerns, and ensure equality is part of our daily lives. I wholeheartedly recommend Elastic to any women looking for a place to thrive."
"The company has incredibly good intentions in continuing to make the experience for women the best it can be. While I notice I'm still sometimes the only woman in the room (or one of a few), I always feel listened to and like an important contributing member of the team."

"It's a place where you can come as you are, and almost all teams will make you feel very comfortable and at home. It's the best place I've worked as a woman in IT in my 20 years in the tech field. My current teams makes me feel respected, I have a voice there, and my teammates and managers are the best. I would totally recommend Elastic and my team."
"I love working at Elastic. The company has a wide range of programs, forums, and initiatives that celebrate and support women at Elastic, and they care about ensuring compensation equity and fairness in opportunities. Workplace culture also recognizes that work is just another dimension of life, making it easier to get your work in AND take care of family and personal stuff without the guilt you get in other places. Highly recommended. "
"Elastic is a great place to work and grow your career!"
"Elastic is such an amazing place to work. Elastic is very high growth company but the culture at Elastic remains extremely humble. Elastic truly values employees' well-being and happiness by going above and beyond with flexible work arrangements and time-off. They really believe in always doing the right thing for employees and value us as human beings first, employees second."
"To me Elastic has been an ideal place to work as a woman. The company has been a remote first, global company from the beginning so you not only have a tremendous amount of flexibility to craft your day in a way that suits you and your families needs, you also don't feel alone or left out as a remote worker. There are many ways to feel connect or get involved with specific resource groups like 'Mamas and Pre-mamas" or "Women of Elastic" slack channels. I found the health benefits to be exceptional, especially for families. The culture is open and supportive. They care deeply about making Elastic feel inclusive to everyone. Elastic is also small enough where you feel you can make an impact and get involved in really meaningful, interesting projects. I could not be happier! "
