"I just returned from maternity leave and so thankful to have an environment that allows me to take the time that I need to flex between mom/work life. The culture, benefits, and on site facilitates have all enabled a smooth transition back to work for me."

"Fannie Mae's policies, inclusive environment, and benefits really support its employees and creates a great and healthy work environment. Awesome time off for families and caregivers, and half-day Fridays all year round. Financial resources and accounts for healthcare, closing on a home, and education. Hybrid work environment so you choose where you work everyday. It's the best employer I've worked for in a long time."

"This company is family friendly and offer some amazing benefits. Not only are the benefits good and provide support and flexibility, but employees use the resources and it's respected. Many companies have the benefits, time off, or flexibility, but don't have the culture to allow employees to use them. Fannie Mae believes and supports the time you need to get your work done right but support your personal life."

"Both policies and managers allow for flexibility to get your work done when it works best for you. Flex hours are used by employees and understood by colleagues. We have summer hours and have been working remotely for the past year and a half. Flexibility will continue even if we return to the office in some capacity."

"Paid parental leave for new children is 6 weeks-- any parent, split up however you want. Those giving birth can use short term disability, which is 100% of pay for whatever period is approved.
All employees also get 10 days of family sick leave per year. So you don't have to use your own vacation or sick leave to take time to care for sick parents/kids. "

"I am proud to work for Fannie Mae. I believe in the mission and believe in the goals and key initiatives to strive towards being a leading employer in Diversity and Inclusion. There are several strong and inspiring women who hold leadership roles here at Fannie Mae. Personally, I take every opportunity that is available to listen in to and at times engage in conversation during special events that are hosted throughout the year. The health and additional benefits meet and at times exceed my expectations. Work-life balance is valued as long as you are disciplined enough to create boundaries on when it's time to completely take off the work hat and put on your mom hat. Like most corporate organizations, it's not perfect, but the company certainly strives to continue to improve and demonstrate value to their employees. It's an exciting time to be a part of Fannie Mae and work alongside our very own Fairy God Bosses! "
