There's a lot of hegemony at the company, and a lot of nepotism, particularly in upper management. Sometimes it's difficult to extract your job from those goings ons, so the culture is very chaotic.

    Again, I think this is department specific. My team is very understanding, and pretty flexible, but that's definitely not true within other departments. Also, since my team is responsible for technical operations (i.e., keeping the site up), I already had an expectation that my hours would often be long and unusual.

If you have the right skills & experience, you will be treated equally. However you will have to prove your knowledge of sport as it is assumed that men know more than women about sport. You will be respected regardless of this, however your chances of promotion will be affected by your gender. The maternatiy leave is better than standard but could still be improved.

Many women work at higher levels in QA. Not very many women working in upper levels of management outside of QA. The benefits here are fantastic and a main reason for staying. My boss was also very flexible with regard to family needs (doctors appointments, sick children, etc.) and that was very much appreciated.

I've worked in this department for 3 years. There are a lot of women in management roles. However, several of these women don't seem to provide mentorship or positive support to see other women (women below them) support to move-up. It's almost as if some of these females enjoy the power they have over the "less-than" females who work under them. Accounting Tech, CSUSB

Review for New York/ New Jersey RBC CM finance office - Good company, quite conservative and therefore stable. It is mostly male dominated in management roles and it's quite hard to get promoted (for everyone, not just women) as the departmen is management heavy. There is no good career guidance. However, you start with 4 weeks of paid time off (vacation & sick leave) and 3 floaters (holidays that fall on working days). After 2 years with the company you receive additional 4 days off. Current maternity leave is 3 months which, sadly, in the United States is considered great. There is also paternity time allowed but not sure how many days. Lots of nice people work at RBC CM.
