"Very flexible and can be thoughtful about balancing when you do your work. Culture is very much Founder led and can be frustrating for those who want to get things done. "

"I cannot emphasize enough how imperative it is to stay away from this company at all costs. They have no moral code and make reckless business decisions. When I worked for them, I was accepted into an education program. Although their mission is supposedly to empower working adults to get an education, they gave me a bait and switch but ultimately refused to accommodate my schedule. Senior management indicated that I would be able to work an alternative schedule, but when I asked for confirmation in writing the plan was rescinded with no room for negotiation. They remained inflexible despite me providing multiple alternative work plans that would still entail me working 40 hrs a week and completing the same volume of tasks as the rest of the team, within their operating hours. Additionally, in this era of the “great resignation/labor shortage”, I was appalled that they would rather lose the money recruiting, interviewing, onboarding and training a new employee as opposed to saving their money for retention efforts. Furthermore, if you are a person of color this cautionary tale goes double for you. They posses a white savior complex and love talking about brown frontline workers whose life was changed by Guild. It’s disgusting and they are a capitalistic leech that likes to profit off of but never fully support marginalized identities masquerading as an education technology company. Finally, if you work for Guild, do NOT respond. My issue was made known while there and nothing was done so I don’t want to hear your empty words now. "

"Guild is the first startup tech company I have worked at where we have significant numbers of women in leadership positions. People are accepting and supportive of my leadership role in tech and the fact that it is held by a woman. I don't spend any time "justifying" why I can do my role at Guild, people just believe I can. It is very refreshing."

"In the short time I have been at Guild, I have been very impressed with the healthy approach to equity and diversity- and especially to supporting working mothers. The top highlights that demonstrate that Guild lives it's values: 1. Total transparency in role/pay bands, so that everyone at any level is in the exact same pay structure. That means if you get hired in and you didn't negotiate as well early in your career as is the case with many women- they don't ask what you make now/expect to make, but that you will get what is equitable in the market for that role/level. This is so important for bringing women up to the compensation of their male peers. 2. Generous benefits for working parents- including emergency care coverage if your kids get sick, up to 10k in tax deductible childcare FSA program, and good flexibility. 3. Women in leadership positions- there are a number of women in leadership positions of all levels that continues to advance women perspective and concerns in policies and culture. "

"Guild will potentially be a career accelerator for you but you have to be willing to make sacrifices for that. For me that has meant things like working on the morning of my wedding, working on vacation, having work interruptions during family time, etc. That said, I'm further along in my career than I could have expected to be in the same amount of time at a similarly situated company and that sacrifice has been worth it to me and my family. "As a woman who has worked in a male dominated field for my entire career, I can say without a doubt that Guild is not only the first place I've worked where I didn't have to prove my worth but I was actually valued for being a woman. Guild has equal pay for men and women (and has the numbers to prove it), has women in every level of management (including the C Suite), and offers great benefits for working parents including a daycare. "Incredible female founder who not only facilitates a very family-friendly culture but focuses intently on cultivated seen and unseen diversity. Some people think all the good press might paint a picture that's too good to be true, but it's legit: given the unique combination of impact-driven business model and culture, this company can walk the walk. "

"Strong, supportive mentorship relationships. Work/life balance. Leadership that is invested in the needs of women in the workplace- including making sure that new mothers have lactation consultants. Open spaces for dialogue about company values. On-site daycare (the Beehive). "By better catering to working parents, Guild has managed to maintain a 96% retention rate amongst parents during the pandemic" - Forbes "

"Guild is a great place to be! The organization is female-founded and run which in-turn has created a culture where all people are welcome. Conversations regarding identity are often encouraged and have created a culture where everyone can bring their full selves to work. There are often events and opportunities to engage with other women and exchange ideas. I am very glad to work here and appreciate all the support I have received thus far. "

"Guilders are amazingly supportive and empathetic. They actually check in on you the next day if you are out sick or have a sick kiddo at home. They and the company geniunely care about each other as people. One of my other favorite things about working at Guild is the CEO believes in Collective PTO, and closing the offices for a collective week-long break every so often. This really helps the work-life balance because you aren't returning to a crazy full inbox after being off for a week!"

"Guild provides progressive and affordable benefits along with decent parental leave policies to support growing families. There is flexibility in the hours you work to complete goals, meaning you can step away to bring your kids to a doctors appt or event without feeling penalized. with an onsite daycare at their HQ, they seem to create a sense of empathy around the many working parents who are balancing work and life. They have nursing rooms for onsite employees who need it, and women are typically compensated fairly against their male counterparts. "
