"IBM has a strong focus on female hiring (quota accountability), and many are in leadership positions. However, the female persona encouraged is "shark". Individuals who truly care and are genuinely invested in their teams and efforts are not coveted or encouraged. "

"It's extremely challenging to take PTO. Although it's given, the unwritten code is extreme "face time", and when PTO is taken, there is so much hoopla about being "away" and having an impeccable back-up, that it's stressful to take the time. Once the time is actually taken, the constant "fires" never subside, and if you actually shut down and firmly decide to take a "real" vacation, it's looked upon as MIA as opposed to a well deserved break.
Work from Home has been the standard. However, only individuals based in hubs are flagged for upward mobility. They are aggressively trending away from remote work. "

"IBM supports women and families in the workplace. One example is that IBM increased their Parental Leave from 6 weeks to 12 weeks. This is a huge win for women and families at IBM!"
