"I have worked for many different retail companies. Kohl's treats their people like humans & understands that life happens. As a salaried store executive the pay is very generous compared to other companies in my area. When you are salary it is easy to get wrapped up in what you are doing & want to stay late to get it done. They do a great job of pushing work/life balance. I was pregnant when the pandemic caused us to shut down. Had my baby right as the store was opening back up & all of the chaos that came along with it. Nobody from my store nor my district made me feel bad for not being there to help, the company sent me some adorable Kohl's baby swag & I was showered with gifts from others in my district & at my store. They prefer to promote within whenever possible. I started as an Area Supervisor & less than 2 years later became an Assistant Store Manager. The opportunity is definitely there. Also during the shut down associates received egift cards usable anywhere, the CEO stopped her own pay until she could be employees back to work, & the company kept money on the store bank card so we could order ourselves food every day! Hands down the best company I have ever worked for!"
