"I loved my previous employer and enjoyed most aspects of my job. However, I was ready for something new and interviewed with 5 different DoD contractors, and received offers at four of them. I chose LinQuest. It was not too difficult to convince the hiring manager to offer me 10% more in salary from my previous company, even though I know I had been fairly compensated there. But because I loved my former employer, LinQuest needed to up their game to persuade me to move... which they did. I do not know what the maternity benefits are as I do not plan on having kids at this late age. Bi-weekly deductions for their medical, dental, vision plans are almost half of the cost of industry standard, so more money in the bank for me! Additionally, the 401(k) is among the best I've seen for a for-profit DoD contractor (3% match + 3% Safe Harbor = 6%). Overall I have flexible hours, but that is mostly dependent on the government customer's needs. Wish I could work from home more, but that's impossible when dealing with classified information. Accrued PTO for new employees starts at 18 days per year, but it quickly increases to 20 days after 1 year of employment, and then it increases by 1 additional day for every year after that (up to 25 days, with a max carryover balance of 320 hours). I did not give LinQuest 5-wings because Executive-level leadership is nearly all older white males - in this day and age it shouldn't be that difficult to find competent female leaders and leaders of color.
