They bring in male execs from the outside and let those with experience and chops to wait around for promotion.

- Company philosophy great overall - White male dominated management and leadership - Progress for women tough and standards unfair - CEO encourages equality for women : different reality inside

I've worked here for 9 years. Management in R&D is male-dominated, but the EVP has recently made it one of his goals to promote more women in leadership positions and is giving VP+ women extra mentoring and leadership opportunities to help them get ahead.

Great company, strong culture and good products. Very sales dominant (not surprising) and other functions tend to play second fiddle to the sales function. Internal networking is highly encouraged to move up in the organization.

It is phenomenal to see executive leadership rally around equity-related issues - including pay equity for women, and encouraging more women to get into the tech industry. However, there is still a strong "boys club" vibe with the sales teams and women don't seem to climb the ranks in sales or solution engineering. Many opt to shift career focus to other departments, like Customers For Life or Marketing, when starting families. Overall though, it is a fantastic company that I am proud to work for and I encourage women to consider building their careers here - it's the most supportive place I've worked.

Leadership roles seem to be predominantly male, but correspond to the fact that we have a higher percentage of men vs women in the industry. Still looking for that salary equalization we keep hearing about in the news.

Overall this is a good company to work but criteria for promotion isn't level across departments and often seems to be more political than merit based. Opportunities are there but you need to be proactive.
