"The company does care about family time. It's just time when we all have to do more for other to be able to get that.
This company tries to do more for their employees to get them to want to stay."

"It is ran by some pretty amazing women. With every job, there are things you may not always agree with, but, your voice can be heard and you are treated as an employee and not a number. There is opportunity for growth if you choose that course- just make it known and work hard!"

"Working in a safe, secure jail environment where the patient population is diverse in need, can be the most fulfilling nursing position for those looking for experience in every stage as a nurse. New nurses can work in every field of medicine without having to hop from job to job or department to department to become a stronger nurse.
Those on the other end of the spectrum who are tired of back-breaking patient lifting, enjoy utilizing their years of experience to help an under-served patient population in an environment that permits self-care and safer conditions. Women supporting women in every walk of life is what makes the SHP Family work. It will never be "the same old, same old" but we will handle every patient encounter professionally, showing integrity in all decisions and supporting one another every step of the way. "

"As a medical provider, having regular hours of care available to patients will always be a priority. While hours may not always be super flexible, SHP encourages me to go on vacation and use my PTO hours, will work around my medical appointments, understands a need to attend family and social events. The schedule set for me can always be exchanged with other employees should something come up after it is posted. The company even has a Travel Nurse team who can come in and pick up during periods of extended leave and allow me to know things are covered in my absence by well trained personnel. "

"The company offers PTO to be used for all necessary time off. Additionally, Group Short Term Disability Coverage supplements pay for maternity leave up through 12 weeks where medically necessary. Hospital Indemnity plan options can even permit a payout during the initial hospital stay when you and your family may have additional expenses come up unexpectedly. "
