"If you are ok with leadership changing your shift as they see fit and taking away your flexibility then its a great place to work. The larger we grew there was a clear decline in culture. "

"At the department level, things are great. You will always those areas that feel uncomfortable if you look hard enough. Focus on your team and building those relationships and they will always back you up. "

"Focus on what you want to accomplish and allow your experiences to help you to grow. Never become comfortable because that is when you stop growing."
"Spectrum is a great place to work and there are many resources in places such as the Spectrum Women BRG and Spectrum Enterprise WLDI to help mentor, broaden skill sets and lift-up women in the organization."
"Spectrum has great benefits and good flexibility, which has been especially important to me as I've recently became a mother who works full-time."
"Be your own advocate and find a mentor. Opportunities, like special projects, promotions, transferring to a different business unit, do not and should not drop in your lap. You should advocate to find and secure those opportunities. And having a mentor, male or female or both, who knows your value and your work ethic is enormously helpful to securing those opportunities."
"I have felt actively supported and promoted here at Spectrum. My experience here has largely been that if you do your job well and have a good attitude, you will succeed. "

"The priority is on the bottom line. During COVID, it became clearer that the corporate priorities do not consider employees overall well being and safety. The company has inflexible remote work policies, little respect for employees personal time off, and has a culture that is difficult to support as a leader. Overall the company has great trajectory from a growth and business perspective and pays well, however lack the culture, policy enforcement, and flexibility to retain employees and promote work/life balance. "I joined the telecommunications industry over 10 years ago from the hospitality industry and as a mom and also someone who very much enjoys her career, finding balance is something that is always a goal. I have found that being in our industry is more manageable than I had in hospitality. The side benefit that I wasn't counting on when I joined was how rewarding my job is given that we are working on cutting edge technology. The icing on the cake is our company is always looking for ways to improved the benefits that it provides to our employees. First it was to add a Retirement Acceleration Program to our already generous 6% 401(k) match, then it was committing to $15/hour for our workforce and more recently it was enhancing parental leave policies. We haven't even raised our healthcare costs to our employees in 7 years. "

"Male centric, toxic work environment. Management continues to tolerate abusive and hostile male leaders on certain teams, causing high turn over rates. Be careful where you land here..."

"This is a fairly uptight workplace- at least, the team that I was unfriendly and had no sense of humor. Keep your head down and be careful who you show yourself to."

"All the executives are male with thr exception of 1 person. Although KISS products are catered for a female demographic, it doesn't do anything to support the female employees. HR turns a blind eyes to harassment and sometimes often instigates. The culture is extremely toxic. "

"Very solid parental leave policy but very hard to have work life balance once you decide to have kids."

"Do not work for this company if you have children or want to have children. Their maternity leave policy is basically nonexistent. You get the bare minimum required by FMLA and it is not guaranteed to be paid. They will expect you to return to work at exactly 6 weeks no matter what your doctors say. I was not cleared by my doctors to drive after having my son and was expected to take a cab to work since they denied everything my doctors said. Their leave is unpaid and often uninsured. Most management are males and they do not promote females to leadership roles. All women should steer clear of this company. "

"Extremely male centric environment. Voted down a request for a sponsored co-ed softball team but supported an all-male company team. Poor maternity leave packages. Few women in high level management positions."

"Benefits are good. The company has some women in management, but they are not strong & toe the company line. The good old boy network is alive & well. Customer service does not have much flexibility for hours or work from home."

"It is an environment where is is possible to be promoted but like many places you must be twice as good as your male counterparts."
"I have been with the company for two years. In general the company does a lot for the employees in the form of incentives, gifts, food and small things to encourage company moral. Vacation, sick time, bonus structure, maternity leave, EAP and health insurance are on par with other companies. They offer a 401K plan and pension plan as well. The areas my particular department fall short in is the treatment of females employees. In all fairness I am not sure how other branches treat female employees I know that in my branch it is a good old boys club atmosphere where inappropriate comments are made of a sexual nature, inappropriate viewing of movies with full frontal nudity that is supposed to be against company policy but nothing is ever said. Comments are made by male employees that they are glad they are free to make these comments and no female will be offended. There are several woman in my department who have excellent degrees and incredible minds but are treated as secretaries who can run and get meals and coffee. There have been instances where other women have approached me to complain about certain things, such as working twice as hard to get promoted, discrimination against skin color, being afraid to bring issues forward for fear of retaliation."
"I have been with the company just short of a year now. It is by far the best company I have worked for. Management in my center is well balanced between the genders. Within my own department, I feel that it's easier for women to make money. I am preparing to take maternity leave at the end of January. From what I understand, its 6 weeks total paid. Having four young children and a husband with health problems plus my own pregnancy, I take a lot of time off work. They have been, by far, the most lenient company in terms of sick time and vacation time. With any other company, I would have been unemployed by now. As of right now, I plan on being here a very, very long time."
"There are a lot of women in leadership positions, although the top five earners are all men. I believe women are treated fairly. The company invests in women's leadership development. There is no paid maternity leave, which is an issue."
"There is a bit of the "Old Boys Club" mentality. A lot of the promotions are offered to friends. I would recommend voicing your opionions and ensure your ideas are shared. "
"There is very much a "Gool Ole Boy" culture here. Leadership promotes their buddies with not much respect to accomplishments and qualifications."

"Be prepared to deal with boys club. If you speak up, labeled bossy ecetera."
"The department I work in supervisors are all men. Some are really good as far as being a women. Some are not."
"Generally supportive company and have good HR policys for women. Problem is that each department is run fairly autonomously and although HR and the company in general may support an action, your specific department head may not. I'm not asking for special treatment but when I do have to take time off to look after my kids I would appreciate a little more support rather than laying on the corporate guilt."
