Although I have only worked here a short time I already feel as though Terex make an extra effort in regards to women in the work place -today for example is a celebration for International Womens Day. I am invited to all meetings and allowed to voice my opinions where this hasn't been the case in other companies.

It's the culture for me - integrity, fairness and respect empowers you to reach beyond what you think you are capable of doing. I feel rewarded and valued as a team member.

They really make it a point to empower women and blend in smoothly with a traditionally male dominant role.

Terex is a fun, challenging place to work. There are high expectations to do your best with a culture that applauds hard work and creativity while not focusing on the amount of time you are at your desk. I appreciate the ability to flex my day for my kids' school off days and enjoy being able to work remote when needed. The length of time team members has been with the company ranges from days to decades. I love the fresh perspectives of new team members along with the wisdom of some of our legacy teams. The combination of knowledge is so valuable when trying to move a company forward.

Many departments have great flexibility for team members, and even working to improve it more. Some departments are still struggling to find a way to support other parts of the organization while still improving flexibility.

Paternity leave is 2 weeks paid. There is also a family leave policy to care for an aging parent, for example, that can be very helpful for team members.

A lot of opportunity to wear multiple hats and learn new skills -- all while being fully supported and encourage to take on bigger, more challenging roles.

I feel very blessed to have this position and work for my employer. I have had very wonderful female mentors and bosses that have been concerned with my growth and development as well as provide me opportunities to be successful. The amount of flexibility and work life balance depends on the role and location.

The flexibility for exempt team members is awesome for the most part. However, there are many non-exempt/hourly positions that do not have much flexibility so it creates an issue of perceived unfairness for those who do not reap the benefits of having additional flexibility in their current positions. It would be nice if there were other options made available for non-exempt/hourly team members.

Although Terex operates in a male oriented field - this Company promotes the inclusion and advancement of women, which I genuinely appreciate. There is a prominent Women at Terex initiative and events held throughout the year to benefit both women and men. Everyone is very respectful that I have worked with and dealt with, no matter what your gender is. The Company is focused on identifying and retaining top talent, no matter what your gender is.

Terex has been implementing many initiatives to advance women in the workplace. The recent revision of leave policies as well as implementation of "flex time" at certain sites are two examples of progress. It is clear that the leadership team cares, understands, and is working towards making the organization a better environment for women. It has been uplifting to see that there is so much attention placed on the subject. It is also motivating to see that the company is not afraid to promote women to high level leadership positions that would have traditionally been perceived as roles for men.
