You need to be brave, be honest and you will be respected more. Do not play the poor-woman card - that will not go down well. Be transparent and fair and you will receive the same back. I have always had an excellent relationship with my leadership team and that allowed me to progress.

There is discrepancy between countries and regions- IE - flexi-time in US but not in Europe. There are limited policies - such as fair travel policy - and when they do exist they are at "managers discretion" so rarely granted.

Everyone is friendly and goes out of their way to help others when issues come up. There are many challenges working here, but the benefit of feeling you are part of a great team that produces a great quality product is extremely satisfying and far out-weighs these challanges.

It depends on what part of the company you work for. Office positions have a lot more flexibility than the plant side.

Some managers need to take sensitivity training - learn how to talk to their employees so not to belittle them or make them feel subpar.

  • Recommend to Women?

Maybe. In the past I've been very pleased working for Terex.
