"For starters, join the Professional Women's Network (PWN). It's an Employee Resource Group (ERG) dedicated to helping empower women in the workplace. Also, don't be afraid of inequality here -- they're awesome at making sure everything is fair and that women are treated the same as men. Women hold many supervisor, manager, executive, etc. roles that you usually see men holding in other companies, and The Hartford always makes you feel like your opinion is highly valued."

"Overall, The Hartford is a great place to work. I have seen males promoted more often than females, and males compensated higher than females, however, I do think The Hartford is trying to make changes in these areas. "

"The Hartford is focused on strengthening an already diverse and inclusive culture. There is a strategic focus on women and women of color in leadership and development roles. Hard work is rewarded and the company invests strongly in its internal talent. It is a wonderful place to work, great benefits, and a healthy appreciation for the need to balance work and life. "

"The culture at The Hartford is built around its people, its customers and the communities in which they live. There are so many opportunities to engage with others through ERGs, professional development events, volunteer events, etc. The more you engage, the more you get back. "
