      "Ask a lot of questions about who your direct supervisor will be and ask to be paired with a female mentor from the get-go. They are there and getting in with that mindset will help ensure success. "

      "When I first started, many employees were remote, which I thought was progressive. But there are unwritten rules about needing to come to the office at least 3 times a week to show your presence, schmooze, etc. "

      "Look carefully at who your direct supervisor and chain of command will be. Research those people on LinkedIn. There are good women leaders at TIAA and if you're lucky enough to get in one of their departments and even become mentored by them, you'll have a very good experience. "

      "Great Place to work with generous maternity leave and time-off. Upper level management is more male dominated, but not as much as heavily seen in other organizations"
