"ZS's three values are do the right thing, treat people right, and get it right. By living these values, we foster mutrual respect and trust among our people and our clients. This allows us to have a culture of flexibility. For example, ZS allows for the flexibility to balance your work & life, whether it be working part-time or setting boundaries for when you want to be offline / with family. As long as you provide the respect for your teams, your teams will respect you and your other commitments"

"ZS is a great place to work and I have always felt very supported as a female in this firm. There is a program, called Women's Leadership Initiative (WLI) that focuses on helping all women build successful careers at the firm. Many of the initiatives they support have enhanced the working environment for all people, regardless of gender. The program is structured around 3 primary pillars - professional growth, inclusive work environment and individual choices to accommodate changing career and life priorities. This program has been instrumental in providing women across the firm support and mentorship as they grow in their career at ZS. "
"That ZS truly commits to equality across all areas of our business. Many of our senior leaders are not only understanding but invite the conversation on how we can improve the experience of women at ZS. "
"Women are respected and valued at ZS. ZS actively pushes for women to be in leadership positions and provides great maternity benefits."
"ZS is very supportive and inclusive of all employees regardless of gender"
"I have worked at a company in the past where, as a woman, I never felt fully comfortable in the office. At ZS, the message that our women are just as valuable as our men is constantly expressed. I feel incredibly supported and that I have the resources and mentorship I need to continue to succeed in my career."
"Career progression for women here is very encouraging. All employees, at various levels, will take the initiative to promote a healthy and interactive culture. Work life balance and growth opportunities are great! I really love working here and plan to do so for the next decade. "

"This firm works very hard to keep its culture and ensure its people feel valued. Their flexibility is amazing as I have been told many times that they would rather have some of me than none of me. Additionally, they really help to put family first. When I had to go off work suddenly 10 weeks ahead of my maternity leave due date, there were never any questions asked. They picked up everything I had going on, and made sure I was able to focus on doing what I needed to do for my future baby (who arrived safely just after her due date). Great company!"
"It is an incredible place where they support women being successful in whatever way that means to them"
"ZS has good flexibility and generally a better travel schedule than other consulting firms. The workload is definitely significant, but that is to be expected in this industry. We also have an excellent women's group/women's leadership initiative that is helping push even more for our opportunities and equality. I feel it is a special place with a really great culture for men and women alike."
"Honestly, I couldn't imagine a better company to work for. The benefits are generous (and equal for women), the culture is extremely genuine, collaborative and respectful - I can count on my colleagues to help out when I'm in need with projects or with personal situations, and to really be a sounding board as I navigate my career. The professional development opportunity is huge - I have a few mentors, men and women, who proactively give me advice to try and help me to succeed and advance in my career. Further, there are many initiatives driven from the top to ensure we have the right mechanisms in place to support women in their progression to leadership positions in the firm."
"The flexibility of working here makes having a career and a family fairly sustainable. Of course, you need to protect your time both at work and at home, and there will be required time-shifting, but overall, life here is balanced. There are some issues that the company is trying to sort out (more women in leadership, unconscious bias), but they address it head-on and are very open to feedback. "
"I've never felt like I've been treated differently because I am a woman."
"The women's leadership initiative is very strong at ZS and encourages discussion about gender diversity and networking between female employees."
"Work is interesting and it's enjoyable to work in a firm filled with top level performers. It's a great collaborative environment and knowledge sharing. We truly enjoy going to work every day! "

"I am not someone who believes in work vs. life... we have one life. My children and family, my work, my passions... all are a part of that life, and we need to find our own sense of balance. It changes over time, and what you need is a company and a support system that helps you adapt and achieve the balance that is right for you. We work hard, for sure. But today I am a partner running a large practice with amazing responsibility, a large team, and a lot to do. I have a 13-year old stepdaughter, a 14-month old daughter, and hopefully one more to come into our family whom I spend quality time with. I sit on the board of a charity and my MBA alumni association. I have date nights with my husband, and see my family and friends. My point is, balance and work/life is what we make it and what we are comfortable with across these various aspects of our lives. And while it is hard work and high expectations to work in consulting, ZS is an environment I have always found to be supportive along the way. ZS values who you are as you and what you bring. ZS is also a values-driven and high-ethics culture. I am proud to be a partner here. I worked in 6 companies before this, and never imagined I would stay anywhere for 13 years. Now I can't imagine being anywhere else! "

"ZS believes in a merit base advancement and they walk the talk for the most part. However, unconscious bias plays into all of our daily lives; but as an organization they are addressing bias actively. ZS has a very active group of woman and men working on the importance of a diverse community and supporting issues that women face in the workplace."

"Working in consulting, or any professional services firm, requires setting your own limits and sticking by them. In more than 10 years at ZS, I've rarely felt pressure from my advisors or senior partners to achieve specific objectives; most of the pressure is self-imposed from wanting to reach my own professional goals. I've had to learn to say no to certain client and internal opportunities to create more time for family and my own personal priorities. There's no question that ZS offers great flexiblity to women and men! It's simply up to you as an individual to determine your own schedule and work style, then communicate it to others and stick by your own resolutions. Learning to balance and honor your commitments to clients, ZS team members, and your friends & family outside of ZS is an essential part of long-term success. Fortunately there are many women (and men) at ZS who are happy to share their approaches and help you find what works best for your own needs..."
"ZS offers true flexibility in terms of the roles and responsibilities women can take during career transitions"
"The culture is unique - in a very positive sense: Everything is possible, ideas are valued and when showing strong performance on client work, all doors are open - even and especially for women!"
"ZS is a great place, it is very collaborative and non-political. All views are heard and respected and the environment is very supportive. It makes a really good place for a woman to work at."
"One of ZS core values is treat people right, and in the 12 years I've worked there they have shown again and again that they do that."
"While there is room for improvement for all employees it's a pretty great place to work and it has a culture of continued improvement so where those opportunities exist, more than likely something is happening"

"Improving our women’s engagement has been an area of recent focus for ZS and we've made amazing strides in the past five years. ZS is now a great place to work for women. The dedication of the leadership team, the culture of the firm, and the flexibility and investment they make in individuals is unparalleled."

"ZS is an incredible place to work for women. When I was out with my first child, other MBA classmates were also having their first child. Very few were able to create a meaningful part-time role with their employer. At ZS, there is flexibility to create a role that works for your family and still keeps you thinking and growing. "

"ZS is full of smart, humble, and kind people which you cannot say for many companies. They also take the time to specifically support women through programs like the Women's Leadership Initiative."
"ZS is a place where women can excel, I have worked in other industries and other consulting companies. What I can say about ZS, more than any other place I have worked in my 20 years as a professional, is that they care. They invest significantly in their employees, stress the value of always doing the right thing, and once a concern or problem is identified they make an effort to understand and resolve it. Consulting is a challenging profession no matter where you are - you go into it expecting to work long hours and deal with challenging situations, However the support at ZS makes these times seems less hard and even enjoyable. "
"Respect for people - and respect for women - is paramount here. While we have areas where we can improve, I truly see this as as close to a meritocracy as any place I have been."
"ZS cares about its employees and works to ensure that everything feels valued and respected. They do their best to match you with projects that you'd enjoy and that fit your interest."
"I have worked at ZS for a long time. I have felt fully supported in both my personal and professional goals. While we could use more women in leadership positions, I feel that I have many growth opportunities. I cannot imagine working anywhere else."
"ZS is a great place to work as a woman. I joined as a post-MBA consultant and found ZS to be a place that offered lots of great female leaders and role models, as well as work that was both interesting and challenging. While I haven't taken advantage of many of the benefits ZS offers regarding flexible work hours or family benefits, I think they are quite strong!"

"Respect for people is inherent to the ZS culture. Our core values—do the right thing, treat people right and get it right—guide everything we do. As a woman, it is by far the best place I've ever worked - both in terms of the opportunity to make an impact with our clients, but also from an internal support and respect standpoint. "

"Decline in supporting female leadership and progression. Management is aware it's an issue but not doing much. "
"Although I was treated fairly, management typically consisted of men. During client meetings, I was often the only woman in the room. Although I never felt uncomfortable, I was aware of that fact."
"I have had a long career with ZS and I have never once felt treated differently from my male colleagues. Your career at ZS is really what you want to make of it. If you "lean in" the opportunities are unbounded. I was able to come back on a part-time schedule post my maternity leave and have really been able to work with the leaders to continue to have a challenging and exciting career while I raise my young children. There are an increasing number of women in senior leadership roles who I see as true role models."
"I am married with a working spouse and 3 kids. I have felt very supported by colleagues and leaders as I balance the needs of family and work. I have worked at several other organizations (large and small) and this is the least biased organization I have ever encountered."
"I have worked with ZS for over 10 years. ZS supported me by providing flexibility as I earned my MBA part-time. Beyond that, I was offered the flexibility I needed through having two kids, included 2 maternity leaves and working on a reduced scheduled for 4 years. Throughout this period, I stayed client facing, led a practice area, and continued to advance in my career. I have always felt respected and encouraged to continue to grow, learn, and take on new roles."
