Join us for 'Women in Tech Workshop,' a new series presented by Fairygodboss and Thomson Reuters. Through this unique program of (3) webinars and (3) workshops, you will learn practical knowledge, tips, and tools to help you gain the confidence you need to grow or resume your tech career in 2022.

To kick off our first webinar, women in technology at Thomson Reuters will share their personal career experiences and what to expect from the program. You’ll also get a sneak peek of the platforms they’ll use for hosting the interactive follow-up workshops.

I have close to two decades of Tax technology experience in various roles as a Developer, Lead Architect, and in technology leadership. I started my career as an ERP application implementor for Enterprise customers implementing various modules such as Receivables, Payables, Inventory, Leasing application, etc. I made a career switch to a Product development organization as I was strongly drawn to creating technology products that solve business problems with intuitive customer experiences. My specific focus within the Engineering team was integrating Indirect tax products to various taxation needs within ERP, E-commerce, procurement platforms from end-to-end standpoint. In my current role, I am leading the engineering team to integrate Corporate Tax (Direct and Indirect) and Trade portfolio. I have a masters degree in computer applications from NMAMIT, India and data science education from Penn State University.

Site Reliability Engineering Manager

As Site Reliability Engineering Manager, Ramkumar Arun ensures Service and operations reliability for Corporates Tax Platform applications at Thomson Reuters. Prior to joining Thomson Reuters, Ramkumar was serving as the Senior Manager of IT Applications overseeing day to day IT operations and representing IT at Operational Leadership team at Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) – Canada’s largest granting and Government Crown Agency. He spends most of his time in Community volunteering with a focus on technology training to all community members. He runs a 3000 member community group in Toronto comprising technology professionals. Ram is also the official ‘GDG Mentor of East Canada Region’ and also the ‘Women Tech Maker Ambassador’ of Google for Canada region. He is also the recipient of ‘Walk the talk Leadership Award’ at OTF and ‘Michael Cooke Leadership Award’ at George Brown College.
