Achieving Ambitions: A Conversation With Sindy C. Walters, Northwestern Mutual

Sindy is the Managing Director of Canizales-Walters Financial Group in Orlando, Florida, where she has successfully grown her office from a team of four to 25 over the past four years. She started her career with Northwestern Mutual in 2007 as a Field Director. Sindy’s main business goal is to impact diverse communities in Central Florida at a larger scale through education on financial planning, how to accumulate assets and, most importantly, how to protect and grow what is financially important to each person. In partnership with her team of advisors, Sindy works closely with a variety of organizations in Central Florida including COAMED, Prospera and the Hispanic Bar Association. Sindy has been a board director of the COAMED foundation since 2017, where she is now the treasurer. COAMED is a non-profit organization established in 2015 to support under-served communities through the COAMED Association membership to provide preventive, therapeutic, supportive and rehabilitative health care services to under-served communities in the State of Florida and overseas. Sindy has been recognized by Northwestern Mutual with several internal awards for her contributions to the business and her clients. Sindy was born in Venezuela and raised in Colombia until the age of 17. She relocated to Orlando to attend college, graduating from University of Central Florida with a degree in Business.
