Bea got her Bachelor of Engineering in Food Engineering from the State University of Campinas (Brazil), with a focus on Biotechnology and Bioengineering. Later, Bea obtained an MSc in Chemical Engineering at the University of Alberta, Canada, where she sequenced and evaluated bacteriophages for food safety applications.
