Be Your Own Boss: The Journey to Agency Ownership

I am a native Nashvillian who grew up working in my Mother’s international trade firm from my teenage years until I was in my early 30’s. I opened a Farmers Insurance agency which I held for 18 years before successfully selling 4 years ago. I became a Farmers Agent Recruiter 4 years ago.

I have been an Agent Recruiter for 3 years with Farmers Insurance. I am from NJ and some of my hobbies include drums/guitar (Not any good! Lol) and sports – I played golf competitively in college and after.

Stephanie graduated from Northern Arizona University with a degree in Business Administration. After college, she found herself in multiple sales positions where she excelled at achieving production goals. Stephanie then took a job as a recruiter for a Farmers Insurance® District Manager, where she was responsible for recruiting potential agency owners in the Phoenix area. After three years of recruiting others into agency ownership opportunities, Stephanie recruited herself. Fast forward nearly five years, Stephanie has achieved the top 1% of Farmers® agency owners and has trained and developed a team. She finds satisfaction in motivating and coaching her team members on how to educate customers about their insurance options. She currently has an office of nearly 10 staff members and services over 4,000 policyholders.
