Tips for Hiring a Career Coach?

Hi all,

I have been thinking about hiring a career coach but have been struggling with how to find a coach who’s the right fit for me/ what I need. I did a quick site search, but didn’t see an existing thread on the topic. One info session was a pitch for a program with very limited personal touches. Others have seemed like very nice people, but limited results. This feels like a big investment, so I’m hoping to avoid any rookie mistakes.

For those of you who have hired coaches before/ are active in the coaching space, do you have advice you’d be willing to share?

Hello! Great question! Working with a career coach is all about finding the right fit. Do you feel comfortable with that person? Do you think she has the experiences, tools, and resources that will support you with what you are looking to accomplish in coaching? I have been a career transition and leadership coach certified through the International Coach Federation since 2008 and would be happy to set up a 30 minute complimentary call with you to see if we would be a good fit to work together. If not, then I know lots of highly qualified coaches who I could refer you to. Sign up for the 30 minute call through this link: https://www.parentspivot.com/newsletter-signup
