Looking for an easy, fun, and meaningful way to connect with your child this summer while also keeping up their academic skills? Mompreneur here and founder of Panda. This summer, I am inviting local families to join us at DanPan Park for a summer adventure in learning. I am giving away a month of my learning program for FREE to PreK-3 families.

Hi Everyone,

Hi Everyone, I'm a working mom and homeschool my son (soon to be 8yo). I have a small biz and sometimes work, home, school, and paying attention to him and it all gets jumbled together and time management is hard. Anyone else feel these struggles lately?

Do you have any advice for someone returning to work after being a stay-at-home mom?

Do you have any advice for someone returning to work after being a stay-at-home mom? I have both a BS and MS, but haven't actively worked for ten years. I volunteered quite a bit before COVID, but haven't had much extra time since I started homeschooling my children.

How is everyone doing?

How is everyone doing? As moms, wives, significant others, professionals, businessowners, we are always on the move. I am challenging everyone to make time for yourself. Schedule you at least 30 minutes to do whatever the heck you want. Rather that is running around screaming in…

Hello Fellow Moms.

Hello Fellow Moms. I need to vent. It's tough managing kids, husband, laundry, household, bills, work etc. Sometimes you just get tired of the same old routine. I can't be the only one. I am not saying I'm ungrateful. But even now as I look for a new job, I want more for myself.…

Hi Everyone!

Hi Everyone! I am a recent graduate and am looking for full-time employment in the DC area. Not in any particular field yet, since pretty much every job opportunity requires x years of experience that I do not have. My most recent work experience was at a daycare facility. Most…

YOUR FAMILY NEEDS TO YOU BE WELL

I’ll continue to shout this from the rooftops… Not practicing self-care and prioritizing yourself is the biggest mistake you can make as a working mom. It’s not honorable to put everyone else before you. Your family (and work) need you to be well. So, let me share a few EASY ways…

Tips for Hiring a Career Coach?

Hi all, I have been thinking about hiring a career coach but have been struggling with how to find a coach who’s the right fit for me/ what I need. I did a quick site search, but didn’t see an existing thread on the topic. One info session was a pitch for a program with very…

Intentionality of Action

As I read FGB posts and hear from other women, I see a clear trend in facing ‘choice points.’ A choice point, as I understand it, is when you are at a cross road of sorts. When you are faced with a decision to pursue an option that fits the life you want/were meant to live…

THIS WILL HELP YOU HAVE ENERGY LEFT AT THE END OF THE DAY

The days are long but the years are short. I hear this ALL THE TIME as a mom. Do you? Exhausted days of waking up early, and powering through work and chores doesn’t leave much energy left for our kids. And it’s sooo painful because they deserve our energy. (Cue the mom guilt). I…

WHAT CAN YOU LEAVE BEHIND?

I know you’re doing SO MUCH right now. Working, homeschooling, momming...it never ends. You feel just plain tired. DONE. Yet, you’re being asked to constantly ADD to your list. Ask yourself this question: Is there something you can take away? Something that’s limiting your time…

It takes a village to raise a career

What support system do you have on your career track? For me I have to take a piece from here and there to put things together in the jigsaw puzzle that is my life. Support for divorce. Support for parenting a child with different abilities. Support to rebuild my career after…

New Role During Covid-19

I am being given a new role at my company in the midst of covid-19 while we’re all working from home. Two months ago I was job searching, because I was completely burnt out at my company and in my job. I’m so torn. On the one hand the role I’m going to is in my field- where as my…

Franchise

I was recently laid off from my 2nd job in 8 months. I’m 41 and had never been let go of a job until this past July at 40. To say I’m frustrated with myself is an understatement. I lost both of these jobs through no fault of my own but I still feel like a failure. I’ve wanted to…
