I've been wondering, why so much judgement about a 6 mos or so gap, or a leave for a few months INSTEAD of seeing the skills the person is bringing that could be a valuable asset to the company. It's seem that the hiring team is looking for the negatives rather than the positives. I'm hearing this sentiment from more job seekers than I can remember in the past. This judgement is, after all, how the gap gets larger on job seekers resumes. Again, wondering...
People need time to grow, to pivot, and to change. Companies that are hiring don't respect that unless it's for school/work. They also don't respect people who are trained as teachers to be able to fit in other job titles that reflect skills that to accomplish on a regular basis. There's a huge stigma. I would add something on your resume to compensate that isn't lying ...
