When employers and coworkers ask what country you were born in or what year you graduated high school, how do you respond?

Hi there! I think this really depends on the context of the question - is it just for casual conversation? Are they asking for your employee records? Is there any legitimate use for this information? If your HR department is requesting this info, I would ask them to clarify why they are asking. Graduation date might be requested to complete the education section in your employee profile, as a diploma or equivalent may be a requirement for your position. Country of origin may also be relevant for background screening, etc in some scenarios, but only HR should be involved. I would encourage you to ask more questions and feel confident with the answers before providing such info :)
