With over half of our people working across more than 100 sites, this is a complex, large-scale operation that brings together production, logistics, engineering and supplier partnerships.

It's fast-paced and hands-on, with teams working together to ensure quality, efficiency and sustainability at every stage. From sourcing ingredients to getting products into customers' hands, you'll play a role in delivering the brands people know and love.

Join Our Team

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Multi-Skilled Kegging Engineer to join our fast-paced manufacturing operation in Runcorn. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who thrives in a dynamic production environment and enjoys combining technical expertise with operational and quality responsibilities.

As a key member of the engineering team, you will play a meaningful role in maintaining the reliability and performance of our kegging equipment, minimising downtime, and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational efficiency.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Responding quickly and effectively to machine breakdowns, stops, and unplanned equipment failures.
  • Carrying out mechanical and electrical fault finding, diagnosis, and repairs.
  • Supporting preventative and predictive maintenance activities to maximise plant reliability.
  • Monitoring equipment performance and reacting to unhealthy operating conditions before they impact production.
  • Performing quality checks and equipment verification activities to ensure products meet required standards.
  • Working closely with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to achieve site performance targets.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, reliability, efficiency, and quality.
  • Completing maintenance documentation and ensuring compliance with site procedures.
  • Contributing to root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions to prevent repeat failures.

What We're Looking For

Essential
  • Time-served engineering apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification.
  • Multi-skilled engineer with both mechanical and electrical experience.
  • Proven experience working in a manufacturing, packaging, FMCG, food, beverage, or automated production environment.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Desirable
  • Good working knowledge of PLC systems and control equipment.
  • Experience fault finding on Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar PLC platforms.
  • Understanding of automated production lines, conveyors, sensors, drives, and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience within beverage, brewing, or packaging operations.

The Ideal Candidate

You'll be a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex issues and finding practical solutions. You will be equally comfortable working autonomously or as part of a close-knit team and will take pride in maintaining high standards across engineering, safety, and quality.

You will be proactive, resilient, and adaptable, with the ability to balance multiple responsibilities while supporting production performance and continuous improvement objectives.

Why Join Us?
  • Be part of a high-performing and supportive engineering team.
  • Work in a modern manufacturing environment with advanced equipment.
  • Opportunities for training, development, and career progression.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Play a key role in driving operational excellence and equipment reliability.

If you're a skilled engineer with strong mechanical and electrical expertise, a passion for fault finding, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment, we'd love to hear from you.
