Brand Home Lead Guide

Location: Glenkinchie Visitor Centre

Contract: 6 months, FTC

Closing date: 12th November

About us:

With over 200 brands sold in nearly 180 countries, Diageo is home to some of the world's most iconic drinks. From Johnnie Walker and Guinness to Tanqueray, Smirnoff and Don Julio, we craft brands chosen for life's moments - from everyday connections to landmark celebrations.

Bring your talent, curiosity and ambition, and strive for your personal best alongside people who challenge, support and learn from each other. Together, as one outstanding team, we keep learning, improving and raising the bar for our brands, our business and each other.

Join us and play your part in making life's moments mean a little more.

About the role:

As Brand Home Lead Guide, you'll support the day-to-day running of Glenkinchie Visitor Centre, coordinating tours and guiding the team to deliver outstanding experiences across tours, bar and retail. You'll help maintain high service and operational standards, support commercial performance and contribute to events and community engagement.

What you'll be doing:

Coordinate daily tours and allocate work across the Brand Home Guides team, supporting smooth operations across visitor experiences, bar and retail.

Support the management team with day-to-day operations and help ensure consistently high standards of service and memorable guest experiences.

Supervise Brand Home Guides and agency colleagues, including scheduling, recording working hours, supporting training and development, and monitoring team performance against targets.

Support retail strategy and visual merchandising to showcase the product range and create an engaging retail experience.

Help plan and deliver special events throughout the year, working with the Assistant Managers and wider team.

Contribute to community engagement and the Brand Home's sustainability ambitions.

Lead by example, build strong relationships with guests and partners, and identify practical ideas to improve the visitor experience and business performance.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of daily operations, develop your leadership skills and help shape memorable experiences at an iconic Scotch whisky visitor destination.

What you'll bring:

Experience leading a team and maintaining high customer-service standards in a visitor attraction, hospitality, retail or a similar customer-facing environment.

The ability to support, motivate and develop colleagues, build strong working relationships and work effectively as part of a team.

A proactive, resilient and open-minded approach, with the confidence to solve problems and suggest improvements.

Experience working towards targets and helping a team deliver against performance goals.

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, with shifts planned in advance; confidence using Microsoft Office or similar tools is helpful but not essential.

Please note: This role includes evening and weekend work, as well as opening and closing responsibilities.

Working with us:

Flexibility is key to our success. Talk to us about what flexibility means to you, so that you're supported to manage your wellbeing and balance your priorities from day one.

We recognise and value performance, offering our people a highly competitive rewards and benefits package, including:

Shared accommodation

Product allowance

34 days of holiday

Private pension scheme

Share purchase plan

Contemporary work-life balance policies and wellbeing activities

Inclusion and belonging:

Our purpose is crafting iconic drinks chosen for life's moments. And it's our people, with their different experiences, perspectives and talents, who make that possible.

We value diversity in its broadest sense and want everyone to feel they can belong, contribute and strive for their personal best. You'll work alongside people with different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives - challenging, supporting and learning from one another as one outstanding team.

Together, we're constantly learning and improving, combining the strength of our people, capabilities and iconic brands to raise the bar, grow and win. Wherever you join us, you'll have the opportunity to contribute, make an impact and play your part in making life's moments mean a little more.
