Geoscience Job Reviews
Geoscience, Strategy & Business Development
If you have young children or are starting a family the work life balance can be very difficult at this company. If you are ok with all the company politics and not worried about fair play based on ones ability and really just want to come in and do your job then leave it should be fine.

Level of Flexibility1 2 3 4 5They are fairly flexible in regards to the hours you work. Put in your 9 hours a day but start and stop time is fairly flexible (depending on which department you are in). However, they are not very understanding about stuff that comes up (as it often does with kids), and the expectation is that you should work more then just 9 hours a day. They would never say anything to you but they are judging and you will pay for it with your end of the year review and promotion and bonus.

Recommend to Women?
Maybe. Overall the company is a good company and does try to keep their employees happy. Depending on which department/field you are in depends on how you are treated. There are lots more under the table politics involved at this company then what one would initially notice.
