Hard work is required to be compensated accordingly. Even then, the pay difference between junior and senior staff members is nominal.

Junior staff members tend to have greater flexibility because there are others who can fill in when they have a need to be away. However, AVPs and above have greater restriction, it seems, because they must be held responsible for the management-level workload.

It can have its challenges, but it is not unlike any other firm in finance. ERGs are a great way to connect with other women as the firm is full of introverts.

You are going to see a lot of mediocre men now getting a role you are qualified for. Woman managers will also give you feedback that is a little sexist.

I've worked here for 14 years in various roles. The firm is extremely fair and promotes/bonuses based on performance. The maternity leave is very generous, 12 weeks paid. My only wish is that they were more flexible to allow working from home to accomodate different schedules. I'm sure some positions do but it's based on job responsibilities.
