It is not an equal playing field yet, but trending in the right direction. Leadership team is aware of lack of representation in leadership and potential compensation inequity and making strides to course correct.

Support for diversity initiatives from upper management. However, promotion review processes are opaque and ever changing, no transparency into salary ranges by role.

Put on your thick skin. The environment can be a bit harsh but that is not gender specific in any way.

This is a company of highly talented, driven individuals. There are some wonderful female leaders who help facilitate forward movement for women on their team.

Less talk, more action in terms of handling individual and team complaints. Share data around hiring, promoting, supporting women at AppNexus.

  • Recommend to Women?

Maybe. Depending on the team, and the leader of that team, I would recommend the company. There are some great professional dev/ally resources for females at AppNexus, but very subjective, erratic HR leaders which impacts feeling safe and comfortable speaking up when issues arise.

Maybe. AppNexus looks for young, technical employees. it's a good learning ground for junior people or interns but not for experienced professionals

Smart, hungry people but there are intense internal politics among mid to senior level management. Unclear if and how gender plays a role in advancement at the company; however, there is gender diversity across functions in junior and manager levels, but significantly less at the executive and senior levels.
