"Capgemini talks a great deal about being inclusive and female friendly. However that is truly not the case, especially as you move into higher positions. As a woman you have a very fair chance of being hired, but that is about the only action where men and women are equal. Here are a few trouble areas: - Women are paid significantly less than their male counterparts - Once you achieve Sr Director status the next step is VP. There are only a small handful of women in a VP or higher role - When in a position to build a team under yiu, Capgemini tend to bring in a male employee as a counterpart to you, then has the team build and report to the male employee - Sexist behavior and harassment are very prevalent and issues are swept under the rug...fast - Women who ask for pay equality, for harassment to stop or be addressed, ask for a deserved promotion, or want to build something new are quickly labeled as issues If you are just starting out and this will be an entry-level position for you, absolutely join amd get the experience and the company on your resume. However, if you are later in your career and are looking to be in leadership, make strong impacts, or take on larger roles...RUN! As a woman you are extremely unlikely to achieve these things with Capgemini. Even if you do, it will be at a significantly lower wage than your male counterparts and you will deal with sexist behavior and harassment with nowhere to get help"

"Many managers are wonderful, however it doesn't matter how great they are. Hiring, employee movement, salary, etc all go from your managers into closed door sessions in HR. They make decisions there and neither you or your manager will get any clarity on the decisions made. For instance, during your annual review your manager rates you from 1-5 in about 15 different categories. This rating determines raises, promotions, assignments, etc. Your ratings are turned into HR for their review. Every female employee I have spoken with has had the same experience...if you are rated in any category a 1 or a 2 (1=excellent, 2=above average), HR "adjusts" your rating to "fit" within your department. "They are only allowed to give a specific percentage of employees a 1 or 2 rating." Those higher ratings are given to the male employees, especially at the Director and Senior Director levels. By doing this, they are then giving promotions and larger pay increases to the male employees, making the pay inequality even greater. Your manager has no control over this. Male preference in positions of leadership, higher pay, job advancement, and career growth are rooted at the very center of Capgemini and that is unlikely to change any time soon."

"Capgemini is a great place to work. I am a working mother of 2 girls (ages 3 & 5). Even before Covid I have had a lot of flexibility to be present in my kids lives. I do not have to trade my career for my family. "
