"The location is a great place to work and has flexible schedules for women. Often times, work/life balance conversations are focused on women and men who have families. As a woman who is single, I feel like my boss still allows for me to have flexible hours to balance my personal life and schedule, which is great. We have a well equipped gym with towel service, which is helpful for all employees. Lunch is provided everyday, which is helpful! The specific items that pertain to women specifically is that they offer tampons and pads in the restroom. For women who decide to have kids, the office is equipped with nursing rooms (and rooms just to decompress). "

"I am fortunate enough to have a supportive manager who is focused on my growth. He makes the time to trust and provide me with the empowerment to get what I need done. He is also really great at breaking down any unnecessary barriers that exist. Most importantly, I feel heard, which is important when I work with any team, manager, and organization."

"Continental is in general very keen on promoting diversity in many aspects, gender diversity included. I feel females are treated equally in compare to their male counterparts. One thing I think the company could consider (at least for its US locations) is to extend the paid parental leave. It would help promoting a healthier work life balance for all genders in the long run."

"I think in general we have a problem as a country with the support for maternity leave in USA. In Continental you can take a total of 12 weeks off, but out of there 1 comes out of your PTO, 5 are short term disability and 2 is what they are really offering as a paid benefit. If you want to use the other 4, then it's either PTO or unpaid."

"It is truly a great company to work for. You'll always have some men/women wherever you work that are difficult to work with, but here they are few and far between. More so than work/life balance, its truly an integration of them. Most positions here can work around just about anything that pops up. If you need to work 4 hours, go to the doctor and come back 2 hours later and work another 4, it's possible! They understand that in order to do your best job possible you have to be mentally and physically healthy and you can't be when you are constantly worried about something going on at home. Telecommute days are amazing as well. "

"The organization pushes flexible work globally, but there are still some managers who believe in traditional face time practices and are not as open as others. I had really great managers who allowed the flexibility needed as a working mom. It all depends on your manager, but it's good to know that as a company, Continental supports flexible work! I would suggest asking about flexibility during an interview with a hiring manager if it's something that is really important to you. "
