"The firm takes seriously its commitment to allow attorneys to reduce their hours, but there is no system in place to ensure reduced-hour employees can maintain their reduced-hours status if practice groups get busy. For example, I was often the only associate staffed on certain matters, so if something blew up, I had to address it even if I'd already surpassed my hours quota."

"Ok to go down to reduced hours as an associate after you come back from maternity leave. Regulatory practices are great to work for with supportive folks, but still big law hours at the end of the day. Can’t speak much to other practices. "

"This firm prides itself in being a great firm for working mothers, however, a lot of these benefits only apply to attorneys. Expectant mothers within business services do not receive the same amount of maternity leave."
