"Macquarie hires smart, decent people. Culturally, it's a great place to work. I've worked at Macquarie, left, and came back - largely because of the culture and partly because - with near term aspirations of starting a family - I know they put their money where their mouth is with regards to flexibility. No workplace is perfect, but Macquarie generally makes an effort to want you to want to come to work everyday."

"For those that are US based, there are occasionally calls with colleagues in Sydney which are during the early evening on the east coast. However the trade off is flexibility during the day, including a later start. "

"I love working at Macquarie, particularly because our CEO is a woman and a great role model! They also encourage and support flexible working arrangements which is key for women with families or just if you wish to do one! "

"Reach out and build your network of women in the firm - there are brilliant and successful women who will share their experience generously."
"Good culture and good people. This is the third financial institution I have worked at in my 15 year career and I can confidently say that Macquarie has the best culture and people. Macquarie invests in their staff's development and provides people the platform to succeed. "
"Intensely focused on the business; enormous personal accountability and flexibility"
"I have complete flexibility to do my job when & how it works best for me. I feel supported & encouraged to grow & develop in my role & in the firm."
"Macquarie embraced flexible work before many other financial institutions did. It is not just a COVID thing. The company recognizes hard work and results - not just the amount of hours you work. "

"Macquarie is a very nice place for women to work."
"It is a flat management structure with a great culture and a lot of people who have been with the firm for a long time. There is currently a real effort to promote women to more senior positions and attracting women."

"This is a place where you can be supported, express your opinion and engage with a broad range of projects and work where you can demonstrate your amazing impact. Your different opinions and ideas will be heard and are encouraged."

"I am very happy working here, but your experience is highly dependent upon the group you are working with. There's a disproportionate ratio of men to women in the office. We need more female leaders. I've been lucky to work with a respectable and kind group who treat me as an equal, even though I am just an EA."

"Macquarie has a great company culture, which makes working there enjoyable. It is an organization which encourages open conversations, there are promotional opportunities, there is a great work/life balance and management is supportive of flexible working. My manager and I have regular check-ins relating not just to work, but also my professional future. "

"I love working here. There is a tremendous amount of flexibility at the manager's discretion. There is also a ton of support by senior leadership to find a balance between work and your other passions or commitments."

"High turnover of female-only EAs. Female associates seemed to need to work twice as long and be accepting of "boy's culture""

"I do not feel as though my gender has held me back (although I am still relatively junior) and parental leave is generous. "
