"There's a union and it's a progressive school, meaning you have support and rights. There's an expectation that everyone there (students, staff, and faculty) are inclusive and respectful. I felt comfortable speaking my voice and doing my thing for the most part. "

"It's not a very demanding job in terms of traditional work expectations outside of the classroom (writing a syllabus, grading, reviewing work outside of class time, etc.), so it's flexible in those terms. But that can also be limiting. There's not necessarily flexibility with writing a syllabus or experimenting in other ways. "

"Women predominantly operate in support roles. There is often high turn over and the lowest paying positions in administration are held by women. Further, it is obvious that there is some job flexibility depending on the department, but constant policy change over the past five years has left these systems unreliable."
