Engineering is still a largely male-dominated industry. In fact, while 24% of U.S. workers are in STEM, only 18% are female, according to the National Center for Science and Engineering Statistics. Among STEM leadership, only 25.9% are women, according to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Suffice it to say: There’s a lot of work to be done before achieving gender parity in engineering, but companies like Squarespace are paving the way for it.
We’re catching up with Squarespace’s Mariah Maynard, Anca Roscan, and Edie Beer to talk about their journeys and successes.
