Responsibilities

TikTok's Global Business Solutions (GBS) regional sales and advertising teams drive revenue growth by promoting our advertising solutions, onboarding clients, and running campaigns that deliver measurable results.

Client needs, market trends, and performance expectations shift constantly, and differently in every market. We build strategy accordingly, turning those moving pieces into advertising solutions that work and client partnerships that last.

You will help businesses grow on a global platform, working on the campaigns and relationships that turn advertisers into long-term partners.

We are looking for an experienced Business Partnerships professional to accelerate TikTok's Mid-Market business across South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa.

This role owns the development of a broad advertiser portfolio while building new sources of growth through ecosystem partnerships and scalable commercial programmes. The successful candidate will identify where TikTok has the greatest potential, concentrate effort on the right opportunities, and build repeatable models that help advertisers progress from activation to sustainable scale.

Responsibilities:
- Own and execute the Mid-Market growth strategy for South Africa, with clear accountability for revenue and portfolio development.
- Identify and prioritise high-potential advertisers based on business potential, maturity, and ability to scale.
- Bring vertical expertise to client problems and outcomes.
- Have a clear understanding of how platforms operate and work in terms of products and services.
- Own the advertiser journey from acquisition and activation through development, reactivation, and sustained growth.
- Balance high-impact client engagement with scalable one-to-many programmes.
- Build partnerships across startups, accelerators, agencies, and emerging industries to create new advertiser pipelines.
- Turn successful client approaches into repeatable playbooks, programmes, and adoption models that can be reused across the wider portfolio.
- Partner closely with Client Solutions and cross-functional teams to remove growth barriers and improve advertiser outcomes.
- Use performance data and market insights to make clear commercial decisions and continuously refine priorities.
- Maintain strong discipline across pipeline, forecasting, account planning, and measurable growth milestones.
- Contribute beyond individual account ownership by sharing expertise, improving team capability, and helping others scale successful approaches.

- Proven ability to identify opportunities, prioritise effectively, and take ownership from strategy through execution.
- Strong commercial judgement and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding commercial targets.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience developing startup, agency, accelerator, or high-growth business ecosystems.
- Experience building new markets, portfolios, or commercial programmes from an early stage.
- Ability to turn individual success into scalable and repeatable ways of working.
