Imagine what you could do here. At Apple, new ideas have a way of becoming phenomenal products, services, and customer experiences very quickly. Bring passion and dedication to your job and there's no telling what you could accomplish. Come join the Network Engineering team responsible for Apple's Global Backbone and Internet Edge! We are building the fastest and most reliable network required for Apple's unique needs, supporting all of its products and services. This Network Engineer role is based in Singapore and will focus on designing, building, and operating the network infrastructure Apple operates domestically within China. The position requires knowledge of protocols and systems used within Content or Service Provider Networks, as well as a deep familiarity with China's domestic telecommunications landscape, carriers, and regulatory environment.

Description
Apple is looking for a Network Engineer, who will be based in Singapore, to join their Global Network Services (GNS) team. The ideal candidate will contribute to the design, testing, and operational support of Apple's network infrastructure in China, with a focus on the Backbone and Internet Edge as it relates to Apple's domestic China operations.

This Network Engineer will participate in the design, testing, documentation, and operation of network hardware, software, and supporting systems deployed within Apple's China network footprint. They will contribute to capacity planning processes and work alongside senior engineers and architects on budgeting and hardware lifecycle decisions. The engineer must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and able to collaborate effectively with colleagues across Operations, Engineering, and Architecture - both in China and globally across Apple's network teams.

Responsibilities
A key function of this role is serving as a knowledgeable technical resource for Apple's relationships with service providers in China. The engineer will be expected to understand how each carrier's network operates, troubleshoot issues end-to-end across carrier boundaries, and represent Apple's technical requirements clearly in carrier interactions. Familiarity with how China's regulatory environment impacts network design decisions is essential. The engineer will also be expected to have familiarity and experience with Intra-APAC and Trans-Pacific submarine systems/assets, given their critical role in connecting Apple's China network to the broader global infrastructure.

This person will be expected to obsess over the customer experience and drive operational excellence in their everyday work. Beyond the technical role, this position requires strong communication skills and an individual who thrives in Apple's fast-moving, collaborative environment.
