As part of Sonepar, the worldwide leader in electrical distribution, we have a global reach that allows us to offer excellent benefits and develop innovative solutions, while maintaining our strong local roots and close-knit culture. We empower our associates to contribute to our success by adopting the adapt, dare, learn mindset-- adapt to new situations and people, dare to appropriately challenge the status quo, and learn from others and our own experiences.

Our 6 legacy brands known as Echo Electric Supply, Holt, PEPCO, Richards, Shaw Supply, and Springfield Electric have become one brand moving forward with a shared culture, strategy, and vision. We are now going to the market under one bold new brand, Echo Electric.

We have a great opportunity for an Inventory Control Coordinator to join our team. You will support inventory accuracy, cycle counts, investigate and correct discrepancies, coordinate product returns, and support broader warehouse and branch operations. This position reports to the Operations Manager.

Shift: 7AM-4PM, M-F

We are looking for associates who:

  • Use the company operating system to research inventory, customer orders, product purchasing and sales history, vendor information, inventory modifications, and bar-code requests.
  • Investigate inventory variances and help document discrepancies identified by other associates, including variances discovered during billing.
  • Maintain defective-item records by tagging and logging products by vendor and arranging returns for exchange or credit.
  • Review temporary items received without a customer order, log and group these "specials" by vendor, negotiate returns, and identify items that cannot be returned for closeout status.
  • Review slow-moving vendor inventory for return, exchange, or credit opportunities.
  • Request bar codes, stock warehouse products, update product bin locations, and assist with keeping assigned warehouse shelves stocked.
  • Modify the inventory system accurately and apply the appropriate inventory modification reason codes.
  • Serve as the contact for branch stock-check phone inquiries.
  • Perform cycle inventories for vendors identified by the Branch Manager, Operations Manager, or Corporate Purchasing Department.
  • Issue vendor debits and branch RPOs; maintain complete debit files and clear vendor credits.
  • Monitor inventory shortages and communicate serious stock-outs to the Corporate Purchasing Department.
  • Assist with branch administrative responsibilities, including UBAP, and take on other duties as needed.
  • Maintain a positive, helpful, and service-focused approach with associates and internal customers.

What you bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One or more years of inventory-control-related experience.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse and office setting.
  • High ethical standards in professional conduct and workplace interactions.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to plan and manage multiple priorities at once.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data entry and 10-key pad use.
  • Proficiency with general computer applications and Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • A strong customer-service mindset and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

What we offer:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance plus employer paid short term and long-term disability and life insurance.
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • 401K match
  • Profit Sharing
  • Tuition reimbursement and employee development.
  • Annual Safety Shoe Reimbursement
  • Employee Discount on products
  • Access to a variety of trainings for personal development
