‘I Love My Job’: How Cadence Supports My Career

Welcome to I Love My Job, the series where we hear from women who really love their jobs. In this edition, we spoke with Mamta, Senior Software Engineering Manager at Cadence Design Systems. 

Mamta joined Cadence as a product engineer nearly a decade ago. In these 10 years, she “grew up” in her role in management. “When you work for a company for this long, it becomes your second home,” she says of her job. “Your colleagues become your friends.”

Mamta praises Cadence’s vibrant internal community, supportive team, and diverse culture. “Cadence does everything to uplift you in your career,” she shares, noting that her employer provides professional and personal support to all its employees. 

How would you describe the culture at Cadence?

The culture is incredible. I’ll start with the motto: One team, one Cadence. The word “one” represents unity and diversity. Cadence provides a safe space for employees so they can be themselves. We have diverse people across the world, but in the end, we are one—one Cadence, one team.

What’s your favorite thing about Cadence?

There’s not [just] a single thing—Cadence is a complete package. 

There are benefits and support you get on the job, such as the mentorship they provide to the engineers and the internships. Cadence is really making a difference in the world by supporting volunteering. For example, we have the Family Giving Tree. We’re big on sustainability. It’s a complete package, making it one of the best workplaces.

What do you like most about your job?

It’s the drive and the passion and the challenges that come with it. Cadence is one of the top companies to work for, and it didn’t happen overnight. Cadence earned it. They worked for it. They have top products out on the market. Whenever the word “top” comes in, it comes with hard work and a challenge. Challenge drives me, and that’s what I love about my work.

How does Cadence support you professionally and personally?
