Now that fall is here, it’s time to come up with the perfect Halloween costume idea. Being pregnant shouldn’t limit you—in fact, it opens up infinite possibilities! Here are 29 maternity costumes perfect for your Halloween party.

1. Deviled Egg

This adorable costume is super easy and cheap to make. All you need is a piece of poster board, string, scissors, a pencil, a hole punch, and a pair of devil ears.

Lay the piece of cardboard on the floor and place the plate in the center. Draw a circle around the plate. Then draw an uneven, egg-like shape around the yoke. Cut around the plate tracing and the egg shape. Punch one hole on each side of the top and thread the string through. Make sure to double or triple knot the ends. Don a yellow shirt and devil horns, and tie the poster board around your neck.

2. Magic 8 Ball

It takes a little patience and a lot of glue, but you’re sure to turn heads with your gumball machine costume. You’ll need a few bags of multi-colored pom poms, a safety pin, brown and black felt, glue, scissors, a plate, and a tee-shirt you won’t wear again.

Trace a plate on the shirt. Depending on how “full” you want the gumball machine to be, draw a line somewhere near the top. Applying glue to each pom pom and hold it in place until it cools. Cover the entire marked off area. Then make the gumball tag. It’s best to trace or draw the numbers on felt and cut them out, then attach glue them to a square piece of felt. Safety pin the tag below the “bowl” on your shirt.

You’ll need a piece of foam, yellow and green tempera paints, a paint brush, elastic, an Xacto knife or scissors, and a hot glue gun. Cut out the foam in the shape of an avocado (you may want to draw the shape first) and a rough outline of a pit in the middle where your bump goes. Paint a dark green outer rim, a lighter green inner rim, and yellow-green “flesh.” Mixing your paints first allows you to get the right hues. Attach straps to go over your shoulders with a hot glue gun. Let dry. Don with a brown tee-shirt.
