As Vice President of Credit Risk Transfer at Fannie Mae, Kathleen is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to transfer credit risk associated with our Single-Family guaranty business to capital markets and private investors. This has been a strategic priority for Fannie Mae for more than a decade, and Kathleen’s contributions have been instrumental in moving U.S. housing finance forward. With a dynamic leadership style, she motivates her team to perform at their best while navigating an ever-changing market environment. Kathleen also spearheads Fannie Mae’s Women of Capital Markets group, which fosters a community of networking and advocacy where employees come together to share ideas, discuss challenges, and celebrate wins.
As Director of Collateral Policy and Equity, Rachel focuses on appraisal-related policies and programs that promote a more efficient and fair home valuation process. She leads Fannie Mae’s valuation modernization initiatives to drive more accurate appraisals and minimize bias — which is good for both mortgage lenders and borrowers. Her team’s work to reduce biased or unacceptable language in home appraisal reports has already had far-reaching impact. As an advocate for equity and diversity in the appraiser profession, Rachel co-founded the Appraiser Diversity Initiative (ADI) with Fannie Mae, and she has guided its growth. As a true industry collaboration with Freddie Mac and the Appraisal Institute, ADI helps promote the diversity of entrants to the residential appraisal field and overcome barriers to entry for new appraisers.
