Men will frequently want to take your ideas (or work) and make them their own. You have to speak up if this happens.

Maybe. For a position in investments or sales? - yes, because she would have a real opportunity to make what she is worth. Otherwise - no - she would likely be paid much less than her peers at other asset management companies.

Maternity leave policy is more generous than average compared to other companies in the US.

We have a strong and healthy culture, but we have more work to do to improve gender balance in senior management.

Flexibility options are tied to the nature of your role, by necessity. Traders and phone reps are less flexible, but investment analysts and sales roles have high degree of autonomy.

I work in a male-dominated area that does not recognize nor appreciate that women act and think differently. Despite studies that have shown that women are good investors and may even be superior to men, women's opinions are given short-thrift. Too many senior men have stay-at-home wives and I think that this colors their perception of women who work.

Great benefits. Flexibility is determined by the department you are in. The majority of management has children as well and can be very accommodating. Keep in mind, there are a lot of departments that are pretty entry level and incredibly strict with time/vacation.

Females are given good opportunities here in corporate roles. The investment side and senior management needs to work a lot harder to get senior female leadership.
