Apple System RF team is looking for an experienced Radio Frequency (RF) System Integration Engineer to lead the development and optimization of RF automation testing systems used across Apple's cellular products. You'll bring deep technical judgment to a high-caliber, global team, driving system architecture decisions and mentoring other engineers while staying hands-on with the hardest RF problems.

Description

You will take a technical leadership role within a hands-on development team, driving engineering rigor, creativity, and innovation across multiple product lines. We're looking for a seasoned engineer who can operate independently in ambiguous problem spaces, define solutions that don't yet exist, and raise the bar for the team around them.","responsibilities":"Own the architecture and roadmap for scalable RF automation software across multiple products.

Lead development of a multi-faceted C/C++ software suite, setting technical standards and reviewing others' designs.

Drive root-cause analysis of complex RF performance issues in partnership with cross-functional/multi-disciplinary Design teams.

Provide deep expertise in one or more wireless standards and represent RF system integration in cross-team technical discussions.

Mentor mid-level and junior engineers.

Preferred Qualifications

Deep experience with current/emerging Cellular standards (LTE, 5G NR, etc.).

Track record designing and shipping RF test solutions/systems from scratch.

Experience mentoring or leading small technical efforts.

Experience using agentic workflows for software development and data processing.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

6+ years of relevant industry experience in RF engineering, test systems, or wireless communications.

Track record of owning complex technical problems end-to-end, from architecture through delivery.

Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction across teams.

Minimum Qualifications

Demonstrated depth in RF fundamentals and communications theory sufficient to independently diagnose novel RF impairments without guidance.

5+ years hands-on experience with RF lab equipment, including having specified or architected test setups, not just operated them.

6+ years professional experience in C/C++ system-level software development, including having designed and shipped non-trivial systems (not just feature work).

Proven experience designing or leading development of RF test automation systems or frameworks, end-to-end.

Working proficiency with data processing/statistical analysis tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or equivalent) applied to RF/test data at scale.

Experience operating with significant autonomy on ambiguous, cross-functional technical problems, with a track record other engineers can point to.
