Responsibilities

Global E-commerce is a discovery-driven e-commerce business, working to become a destination for users to discover and buy good products at affordable prices. We build a shopping experience that feels tailored to each user, and a platform merchants can rely on across live and short-video commerce.

TikTok Shop is a more personalized way to shop, where joy, entertainment, and discovery meet. People engage directly with sellers and creators through shoppable videos and interactive livestreams, discovering and buying trending products without leaving the app. We want to be where people find innovative, unique, high-quality products from around the world, in an environment that stays safe and secure for sellers, creators, and users alike.

You will help redefine how people discover, search, and shop for the things they love, on a business expanding quickly across global markets.

The Global E-commerce Seller Business team plays a critical role in driving the success of our Global E-commerce platform. We are dedicated to building and nurturing a thriving ecosystem of local and global sellers who bring diverse products, brands, and innovations to our marketplace.
Our engineering team builds scalable systems and platform capabilities that support sellers throughout their journey on TikTok Shop, including onboarding, product management, order and fulfillment experiences, customer service, seller growth, and other core commerce capabilities.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services and systems supporting key e-commerce and seller experiences.
- Build reliable APIs and distributed systems supporting high-volume commerce workflows, data processing, and platform capabilities.
- Develop and improve technical solutions across areas such as seller onboarding, product and catalog management, orders, fulfillment, customer service, and seller growth.
- Improve system scalability, reliability, observability, performance, and operational stability for large-scale e-commerce services.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues across distributed services and production environments and develop scalable, long-term solutions.
- Partner with Product, Operations, and other engineering teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions that improve seller experience and platform adoption.
- Collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams to deliver platform capabilities supporting TikTok Shop's international growth.
