They also communicate effectively in Korean and English and can confidently manage agency partners and multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in communications, public relations, media relations, or a related field; experience with leading consumer, fashion, or sports brands is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Deep knowledge of the Korean media and cultural landscape, with strong relationships across relevant media and content creators.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop locally relevant stories from global priorities and lead media relations across fashion, lifestyle, youth, and culture.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Korean and English, with the ability to collaborate effectively across local, regional, and global teams.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

You will lead brand communications and media relations for Converse Korea, translating global priorities into locally relevant stories that strengthen brand relevance and cultural resonance. You will shape communications strategies, build meaningful media relationships, and amplify priority brand, product, sport, and cultural moments in partnership with local, regional, and global teams.

You will

  • Develop and execute Korea communications strategies that support key brand priorities, product launches, campaigns, and sport and cultural moments.
  • Build and deepen relationships with key Korean media and content creators, creating sustained opportunities for distinctive Converse storytelling and earned media impact.
  • Localize global narratives for Korea, applying strong knowledge of local consumers, media, and culture to make Converse stories relevant and compelling.
  • Partner with Korea Marketing, Commercial, and other cross-functional teams to integrate communications into market plans and maximize the impact of priority initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with Converse Global Communications teams, contributing Korea market insights and ensuring alignment with broader communications priorities.
  • Lead media engagement and communications execution, including outreach, press materials, interviews, media events, product seeding, and other storytelling opportunities.
