    • Name

      Katrina Schreiber

    • Position

      Software Engineer, Infrastructure & Operations

      Minneapolis, MN

Entering her collegiate years at Indiana Univeristy, Katrina Schreiber was interested in many topics and many hobbies. Searching for a major (think everything from Seismology to Journalism PR…), she found that technology could be a vehicle to leverage all those creative talents and interests into something productive. After interning with Target in 2014, Katrina returned for the Technology Leadership Program (TLP). Currently, Katrina is developing on the API Developer Portal and Kafka Operations Portal.

Katrina loves the enabling culture, mentorship, and rare opportunities she has had at Target. These aspects of Target culture have given Katrina confidence in sharing personal career goals and picking up new technologies and challenges. Katrina finds her team’s level of positive communication to be the cornerstone of the Target culture. Her teammates want each other to succeed, and they do! “The team supports me in my perspective, ideas, and growth (especially with learning new technologies!). We also joke around a lot, for instance, I walked into the office one Monday morning and ran into a flying shark balloon one of my coworkers had purchased to be our office pet.”

When Katrina is not working, she is a FIRST LEGO League Coach to encourage elementary-level girls interested in technology. Katrina also loves exploring the many parks and “million awesome festivals” with friends, many met through her Technology Leadership Program cohort.
